Team 4 Golf - Special Events

Shot Format

Your Game Host will greet you upon arrival and get your team organized for play based on the Team Name you provided during the registration process. Green fees are paid in advance so you don't have to check in at the clubhouse or with a starter. Teams consist of 4 players, with each group accompanied on the course by an official Team4Golf.com - Game Host.
Prior to beginning the round, your Team Captain will provide the Game Host with alternate shot hitting rotations for Ball #1 and Ball #2. The shot rotations provided can be different or the same. The only time shot rotations can be altered is when the team is participating in a SOBS Challenge.
Each round will be officially timed, with a 4 hour/15 minute (4:15) time limit enforced. If your team violates this time limit (determined by Game Host) it will forfeit any chance at receiving event prize money.
Teams consist of 4 players, with each group accompanied on the course by an official Team4Golf.com  - Game Host. All Game Host rulings are final and not subject to review.
Play will be strictly limited to our 2-ball / 4-person alternate shot hitting rotation format, with the exception of SOBS Challenges which incorporate 1-ball.
Teams must play each shot from where the ball lays (summer rules apply).
Teams have the option of removing Ball #1 or Ball #2 from play at any time. However, a ball must be removed from play if the score for the ball being removed cannot possibly better the score of a ball already holed out.

Shot Rotation Example (fictitious names)

Ball #1  Shot Rotation     Ball #2  Shot Rotation
"Long Putt" Larson "Big Drive" Boyer
"Straight Shot" Schmidt "Straight Shot" Schmidt
"Fine Touch" Finnegan "Long Putt" Larson
"Big Drive" Boyer "Fine Touch" Finnegan
  Ball #1 (par 5 / 1st hole)   Ball #2 (par 5 / 1st hole)
"Fine Touch" Finnegan hits a clutch 3rd shot about 10 feet from the hole, setting up a birdie putt for "Big Drive" Boyer. After a wayward 3rd shot by "Long Putt" Larson, "Fine Touch" Finnegan does it again landing a difficult 4th shot on the green.

After arriving on the green the team decides to putt Ball #1 first, even though it's closer to the hole than Ball #2.
  Ball #1     Ball #2
"Big Drive" Boyer sinks the birdie putt to record a team score of 4 on the first hole. This means that "Long Putt" Larson must hit the tee shot on hole #2. Since the best score possible for Ball #2 is a 5, the Game Host instructs the team to pick it up. This means that "Big Drive" Boyer will hit the tee shot on hole #2.
